St Joseph's Cup
On Tuesday students in the Junior School celebrated Melbourne Cup Day by holding their own St Joseph’s Cup. The afternoon began with a colourful array of many elaborate creations on display as the audience witnessed a Fancy Hat Parade. The Cup is an annual event involving many horses (Year Six students) and jockey’s (Year One students) competing in a short course race for the much sort after, St Joseph’s Cup. An enthusiastic crowd cheered on all competitors in a closely contested race to an exciting finish with first place going to jockey Beau Ford and his trusty stead James Franklin. Thanks to Mrs Christine Hunter for the colours worn in the Grand Final.
